RNC Make Arrest in Connection with Warrants in Metro

(ST. JOHN’S, NL), October 8, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest overnight in connection with multiple outstanding warrants for arrest.

In the early hours of Friday, October 8, 2021, while on patrol in the city of Mount Pearl, officers with RNC OPS encountered a male with multiple warrants for his arrest. The male initially fled on foot, but was arrested a short time later by the officers.

As a result of an investigation following the event, the 18-year-old male was also charged with failure to comply with court orders. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court in relation to the outstanding warrants for his arrest and the pending charges.
