RNC Request Assistance In Connection With Robbery

(St. John’s, NL), October 12, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) are requesting the assistance of the community in relation to a robbery in St. John’s.

On Saturday, October 2, 2021, at approximately 4:20 pm, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of a robbery at the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) on Ropewalk Lane in St. John’s. A male had entered the store, selected merchandise, then threatened violence in order to exit the store with the merchandise. Responding officers could not locate the suspect in the area.

The suspect was captured on CCTV footage inside the store. Investigators request that anyone who can identify the male suspect contact the RNC.

The RNC ask that anyone who may have information to assist the investigation contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
