RNC Seize Vehicles Without Insurance

(St. John’s, NL), November 26, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) seized two vehicles after traffic stops determined no insurance policy was in effect.

On the evening of Thursday, November 25, 2021, officers with RNC OPS conducted traffic stops in the metro region, determining two vehicles involved to be uninsured, and the operators did not have a valid driver’s license.

As a result of the officers’ finding, both vehicles were seized and impounded, and the operators were issued summary offence tickets for the Highway Traffic Act infractions.

The RNC ask that anyone who may have information to assist the investigation contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
