RNC Investigating Hit and Run Collision in Metro

(ST. JOHN’S, NL), December 21, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a hit and run collision in St. John’s.

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, at approximately 5:00 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Torbay Road at Highland Drive in St. John’s. Responding officers located a black SUV with moderate damage which was over the sidewalk off the side of the road on Highland Drive. The other vehicle involved in the collision had left the area prior to police arrival.

The vehicle that left the area is described to be a Ford F-150 pick-up truck, possibly red in colour, with a male operator. Investigators are seeking any witnesses to the collision.
