RNC Make Arrest Following Suspicious Activity

(St. John’s, NL), January 5, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services made an arrest following response to suspicious activity in St. John’s last night.

On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at approximately 11:00 pm, members of the RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of suspicious activity in the center city area of St. John’s. On arrival, officers patrolled the area in connection with the report, and a short time later located a male accessing a vehicle on private property. The suspect male was taken in to custody without incident.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 33-year-old male from St. John’s has been charged with trespassing at night, mischief, and court order breaches. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
