RNC Traffic Stop Results in Seized Vehicle in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), January 5, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services made seized a vehicle following a traffic safety stop in St. John’s last night.

On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at approximately 11:50 pm, members of the RNC Operational Patrol Services conducted a traffic safety stop with a vehicle in the east end of St. John’s. Officers determined that the vehicle was being operated without an insurance policy, and the operator did not hold a valid driver’s license.

As a result of the event, the operator of the vehicle was issued summary offence tickets for licensing and insurance infractions under the Highway Traffic Act, and the vehicle was impounded from the scene.
