RNC Make Arrest After Response to Disturbance

(St. John’s, NL), January 6, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a disturbance in the downtown area of St. John’s yesterday, resulting in an arrest.

On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, the RNC OPS responded to a report of a disturbance at a hotel in the downtown area of St. John’s. On arrival, patrol officers located a male and female in the area, determining the male was on a court order to remain away from the female.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 29-year-old male from St. John’s was arrested and charged with failure to comply with court orders. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
