RNC Patrol Make Arrest Following Assault in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), January 14, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services made an arrest following a downtown disturbance on Wednesday night.

On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at approximately 7:20 pm, members of the RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s. Responding officers located a male outside the residence with visible injuries, and observed damage to property inside the home. Officers located another male inside the home who was believed to be involved in the event.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 39-year-old male from St. John’s was arrested and charged with assault, property damage, and breaching court orders. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
