RNC Respond to Disturbance at St. John’s Convenience Store

(St. John’s, NL), January 20, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services arrested a male following a disturbance in downtown St. John’s yesterday.

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at approximately 1:40 pm, officers with RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of a disturbance at a convenience store located in downtown St. John’s. Responding officers were informed a male had stolen merchandise from the store. The suspect male was located nearby shortly after police arrival.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 20-year-old male from St. John’s was arrested and charged with theft, uttering threats, and failure to comply with court orders. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
