RNC Make Arrest Following Theft in Downtown St. John’s

(St. John’s, NL), March 30, 2022– The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest following a theft in the downtown area of St. John’s yesterday.

On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at approximately 1:20 pm, RNC OPS responded to a report of a theft, which had just occurred in the Water Street area of downtown St. John’s. Responding officers determined a male suspect had taken merchandise from a vendor in the area. Patrol officers launched an investigation in to the event.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old male of St. John’s was arrested and charged with theft and failure to comply with court orders. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
