RNC Respond to Disturbance in St. John’s

(St. John’s, NL), April 19, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest after responding to a disturbance in St. John’s yesterday.

On Monday April 18, 2022, at approximately 2:50 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of a disturbance in progress in the Military Road area of St. John’s. Responding officers were informed that a male was damaging property in the area of the Basilica. On arrival, officers located the suspect, who was taken in to custody without incident.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 47-year-old male from St. John’s has been charged with property damage, assault, uttering threats, and breach of court order. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
