RNC Request Assistance Following Vehicle Theft

(St. John’s, NL), April 26, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is requesting the assistance of the community following a violent vehicle theft in St. John’s yesterday.

On Monday, April 25, 2022, at approximately 2:50 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a request for assistance on Petty Harbour Road, in the area of Forest Pond Road, in St. John’s. Responding officers determined that a black 2012 Dodge RAM pickup truck (CGO 976) had been stolen, and it was believed firearms offences had occurred. There was nobody injured in the course of the event.

This investigation remains active with the RNC CID, and investigators are seeking any video footage on Petty Harbour Road around the time of the event.
