RNC Investigating After Locating Human Remains

(St. John’s, NL), October 31, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) are investigating after human remains were located in the area of Three Island Pond, Paradise.

On Monday, October 31, 2022, at approximately 10:50 am, RNC Operational Patrol Services, Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Services responded to a wooded area near Three Island Pond in Paradise following a report of potential human remains in the area. On arrival, officers located the scene and confirmed there were human remains on site.

The investigation in to the identity and cause of death of the individual remains active with the RNC Criminal Investigation Division in consultation with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. There will be a police presence in the area as the investigation progresses.
