RNC Investigating a Serious Incident in Corner Brook

(Corner Brook, NL), March 6, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are requesting the assistance of the public following a serious incident in Corner Brook.

On March 3, 2023, at about 7:30 p.m. RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a request for assistance in the area of Elizabeth Street and Beothuck Crescent, Corner Brook, following the report of a 57-year-old male requiring medical attention.  The male was taken to the hospital and treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests at this stage.

The RNC does not believe there to be any immediate concerns to public safety at this time.

The RNC will be canvassing the area and requests that anyone with information to assist, or any video or dashcam footage in the area of Elizabeth Street, Corporal Pinksen Memorial Drive, Mount Bernard Avenue, O’Connell Drive, or surrounding area during the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., March 3, 2023, please contact the RNC.
