Report Results in Impaired Driving Charges in Mount Pearl

(St. John’s, NL), March 28, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest for impaired driving after receiving a report from the community last night.

On Monday, March 27, 2023, at approximately 7:50pm, the RNC Operational Patrol Services Division (OPS) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Farrell Drive in Mount Pearl. Officers located the suspect vehicle, conducting a traffic safety stop.

As a result of an investigation into the event, the 49-year-old male operator of the vehicle was charged with impaired driving and operation of a motor vehicle while over 80 mg of alcohol. The vehicle was impounded from the scene. The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
