(St. John’s, NL), April 4, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested a wanted person in St. John’s last night.

On Monday, April 3, 2023, at approximately 8:15 pm, the RNC Operational Patrol Services Division (OPS) were at the scene of a call for service in the downtown area of St. John’s. While at the scene, an officer was threatened with a weapon by a male in the area. Officers determined that this male was the subject of an active arrest warrant.

The 48-year-old male form St. John’s was placed under arrest in connection with the arrest warrant, and also charged with uttering threats and breach of court order. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court in connection with the charges.
