(St. John’s, NL), June 12, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have informed the Serious Incident Response Team of Newfoundland and Labrador (SIRT-NL) of an officer-involved shooting.

The RNC are cooperating with a SIRT-NL investigation following an officer-involved shooting this morning in the area of Elizabeth Avenue in St. John’s. To protect the integrity of the SIRT-NL investigation, the RNC will not be providing any further discussion in relation to the event.
