RNC Patrol Tracked Down an Impaired Driver in Mount Pearl

(St. John’s, NL), August 24, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest last night in connection with impaired driving in Mount Pearl.

RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of an impaired driver on Pitts Memorial Drive near Mount Pearl on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at approximately 9:15 pm. A short time later, officers conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in Mount Pearl in connection with the report.

As a result of an investigation into the report, a 48-year-old female of Conception Bay South was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in excess of 80 mg. The accused was released from custody to appear in Provincial Court in connection with the charge on a later date. Her license was suspended, and vehicle impounded from the scene.
