(St. John’s, NL) February 23, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Accident Investigation Section is investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred in Torbay, NL.

On Feb. 22 around 12:15 p.m., RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a two-vehicle collision that occurred in the area of Torbay Road near Cox Marsh Road. An 82-year-old man was sent to hospital as a result where he remains today for treatment of injuries. Three other people involved in the collision were not injured.

The RNC is appealing to the public for help with the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information to assist, or anyone with video footage (CCTV or dash camera) from the area in the lead up to the collision is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
