RNC Continues Investigation into Now Fatal Collision

(St. John’s, NL), February 28, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Accident Investigation Section continues investigating a serious motor vehicle collision resulting in the death of a man in Torbay, NL.

On Feb. 22 around 12:15 p.m., RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a two-vehicle collision that occurred in the area of Torbay Road near Cox Marsh Road. An 82-year-old man was sent to hospital as a result where he remains today for treatment of injuries. Three other people involved in the collision were not injured.

The RNC were informed today this morning that the 82-year-old man involved in the collision has died in hospital. The RNC will work with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

The RNC is appealing to the public for help with the ongoing investigation.
